German-speaking Partner Manager in Translation sector

We are currently looking for a Partner Manager in our office in Valencia. You will be working together with colleagues based in Spain and in other offices. Your daily responsibilities are to manage, update, follow-up and extend Xplanation’s external partner pool for German as target language to assure our customer’s translation needs in the required domains and language combinations. Your tasks:
  • Managing Xplanation’s German partner pool: assess freelance translators’ performances, identify partners who are the best suited for certain domains, recruit new freelance translators according to ISO 17100 Quality Standard for Translation, negotiate rates and new services offering
  • Follow-up on the German partner pool quality and purchasing costs
  • Manage and follow up on partner feedback
  • Keep the German partners’ information up to date, so that Xplanation’s Project Managers benefit from accurate information to place their jobs
  • Interact with many language professionals and get familiar with the different services Xplanation is offering to their end customers
Your language skills and competences:
  • Excellent verbal and written knowledge of English and German
  • Good knowledge of Spanish and being a native German speaker are a plus
  • Experience with multi-tasking, budget and time management
  • You communicate fluently and are solutions oriented
  • You are comfortable with remote management and team work
  • You are creative and propose initiatives to get your work done
  • You are independent and take ownership for the tasks you are handling
  • You have experience in working with IT tools and MS Office suite, especially with complex Excel files
  • You are motivated, eager to learn and thrive in all deadlines driven, high intensity working environment
  • You have affinity with languages and communication
For this Partner Management position, we are looking for a motivated person who is comfortable working in a multilingual business environment. You will join a team of colleagues at our office in Valencia and work closely together with your manager and your other team members located in other offices in Europe. You will also have daily interactions with our Project Managers located in our different Xplanation offices.
