German-speaking Hospitality Service Senior Specialist

Customer Service (Hospitality Service Senior Specialist)

The Hospitality Service Senior Specialist is the main reference for the information and requests of our Guests. He/she has a natural relational ability in terms of communication, empathy, and creating solutions to optimize guest service. Good knowledge of at least two foreign languages ​​and experience in the field of hospitality is required. Main responsibilities
  • Acts as point of reference for non-Italian Guests doing some public relations (ie. public events, parties, entertainment activities, embarkation, disembarkation), daily hospitality desks and escorting them on some tours in order to remove language barriers and get constant feedback on Guest satisfaction and needs
  • Takes care of the daily cruise program to assure the correct translation of written material in the relevant language (ie. menu, flyers, etc.) and organizes informative speeches
  • Makes major voice announcements for Guests, including safety announcements during drills or real situations
  • Takes active part in a work environment that support a successful safety culture. Is a dynamic contributor in following safety policy and procedures.
  • Provides translation services for medical emergencies, illness or medical disembarkation of Guest accompanying them, when necessary, to onboard infirmary or shore side hospitals to offer dedicated service in collaboration with the Hospitality team
  • Reports or take care of Guest complaints informing the relevant heads of department and supervisor in charge in order to offer a prompt solution
  • Supports the various revenue services through a constant communication and promotion in order to maximize revenue and Guest satisfaction
  • Gives constant feedback to the Hospitality Service Managers and provides an end of cruise report to keep evidence of the cruise major complaints
Skills:
  • Education & Professional Experience:
    • Secondary School or degree in tourism or humanities
    • At least 6 months experience in tourism (i.e. reception, accompanying guests)
  • Technical skills:  MS Office, Sales techniques
  • Language skills: English & German fluent
  • Result Orientation: Feels accountable for results. Is proactive and ready to take decisions up to own responsibility. Plans the work and monitors that results are achieved.
