Wetten.com will be launching multiple new brands in the next months and is looking for the best talent to join the team for this exciting phase of the company and shape the expansion together.JOB DESCRIPTION:
- In this high-profile role, you will have significant contribution to adding sustainable value to the Wetten.com business and the company’s success
- A close, constructive and trusting cooperation with the CEO and management team
- Compile data-based decision proposals for the strategic development of the company
- Continuously enhance the relevant and informative KPI and management reporting
- Responsible for the consolidated monthly and annual financial statements of currently six subsidiary companies in collaboration with internal accountants and external tax advisors
- Unify and automate systems and processes in accounting, budgeting and reporting
- Optimization of the structures and processes between the Wetten.com subsidiary companies, i.a. related to the internal transfer pricing system within the group
- Responsibility for the management of the Finance department as well as expanding it in view of the geographical expansion of the business and implementation of standardized accounting processes in all group companies
- You are responsible for controlling, cash management, investment planning and for the receivables and liquidity management
- Organization of the budget planning process and monitoring budget deviations
- Preparation of the company for an audit
- You are the expert for all internal and external Finance related topics
- You are in the lead with financing rounds: Together with the CEO, you are responsible for the negotiations, due diligence and the preparation of the financial key figures and reporting
- You are the main contact person for existing and potential investors and are responsible for all activities related to investor reporting
- You are responsible for all contractual matters and the direct contact for legal issues with the support of our external team of lawyers
REQUIREMENTS:
- Several years of experience as CFO or in a comparable position
- Very good knowledge of digital business models, preferably in the area of B2C
- Responsibility for successfully scaled start-ups or young companies
- Ability to develop the company, both hands-on and with strategic vision
- Familiarity with all technical aspects of the CFO function, especially financial planning, reporting and group consolidation
- Very good German and English language skills are a must
- Only graduates with a business / economics degree or an MBA
