Cyber Security Expert for Power Plant Systems (German speaking)

How You'll Make an Impact

  • As part of the team, you will be involved in the creation and maintenance of the cybersecurity strategy for digital control technology in power plants
  • This includes cybersecurity-related blueprints, threat and risk analysis, and technical concepts for our execution projects
  • You identify and specify the safety concepts for digital control technology in power plants.
  • Part of your task in the project is to analyze the contractual cybersecurity requirements and implement them cost-effectively
  • Conduct project-specific cybersecurity threat and risk analysis, including mitigating unacceptable cybersecurity risks and creating phasedbased cybersecurity plans.
  • You will also create customer offers and will be responsible for customer negotiations in the field of cybersecurity
  • As an expert, you will represent the topic of cybersecurity in customer audits, audits of authorities or internal auditors
  • The analysis and creation of cybersecurity standards for the instrumentation and control system for power plants is also part of your area of responsibility

What You Bring

Your qualifications - well-founded and adequate

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/Cybersecurity or experience/interest in cybersecurity, IT and OT security in the industrial environment
  • A few years of experience in the field or a recent university degree with an interest in industrial cybersecurity
  • Professional experience and in-depth knowledge of operating systems, network technology and architecture as well as basic IT architecture ideal
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux System Administrations, network concepts such as routing, subnet and VLANs, experience in cyber security concepts including firewall configuration, VPN and remote access solutions is an advantage
  • Project experience in cybersecurity for control technology in power plants, including good knowledge of the necessary safety standards, can be an advantage
  • Understanding of processes for execution projects, including alignment of safety and security requirements

  • Enjoyment of working in a team and at the customer's site
  • Fluent German and intermediate English language skills are mandatory.
  • You have willingness to travel to Germany (> 60%)
  • Valid driving license B
